3.Liga, Round 13

A good round for leaders Heidenheim, as they won a tough match at Erfurt by just being a little better. But this win also gives them a little bit of breathing room at the top.

Halle had a poor start to the season, but have been playing well since, and they gave further demonstration as they knocked off suprising Darmstadt, dopping the Lilies back into 3rd.

Leipzig had a suprisingly hard time against Regensburg, and indeed the guests looked the btter team early. A somewhat unlucky goal before half however threw Jahn out of balance, and the RedBulls were able to glide to a victory that puts them in promotion.

Wehen has been floundering since a good start, and despite dominating against Unterhaching most of the match, they ended up with egg on their faces. The guest absorbed the pressure and then cold-bloodedly countered, kicking their hosts in the balls.

Duisburg continues to struggle, and despite having this game won, ended up dropping points against last-place Saarbrücken. Both teams are somewhat of an enigma this season, well below expectations.

Preußen Münster finally got going, as they swamped Dortmund reserves. But it wasn’t that impressive, as they got a penalty and a man-advantage after only 9 minutes, but it took over an hour to really seal the win.

In a battle of strugglers, Stuttgarter Kickers got an important win against sinking Rostock, who seem shell-shocked. Hansa should be a contender, and instead they’re slowly sinking. Everyone knew that staying up would be a challenge for Kickers, but at least they appear to be trying.

Burghausen has improved, and even lifted themselves from the bottom with a win over Chemnitz, who had just fired their coach a week ago..
