3.Liga, Round 16

The big battle was in Darmstadt, and Leipzig came away with a lucky win due to a Sonntagschuss from over 25 meters by Dominik Kaiser. The hosts dominated the match, but could not break through the RedBulls. The main beneficiary of this, aside from Leipzig obviously, is Unterhaching. The mini-Münch(en)kins have quietly improved and are now contending.

Leaders Heidenheim dominated against Elversberg, but SVE defended well. The leadres eventually got their deserved win, but the promoted side has adjusted well to the 3rd division after a slow start.

A (relatively) big crowd from a relegation battle between two storied clubs, ex-Bundesligists, Saarbrücken and Münster. Both had ambitions of promotions, but now are barely hanging on. Both needed a win, and the tense battle ended in a draw, helping neither.

On Sunday, Duisburg seems to have straightened their ship, getting an away win at sinking Osnabrück.
