Kaiserslautern goes top with a solid win over Union Berlin. The hosts dominated the match, and it was basically over when
Özbek got tossed for his foul on Occean just before half. The Canadian striker then continued to have one of his best performances, scoring and assisting, finally showing what FCK was looking to him. Let’s see if the Devils can now withstand the pressure of being the leaders.
Köln evidently can’t. They hosted Ingolstadt, which should have been a clear win. Instead they couldn’t break down a determined Schanzer defense. And of course, the visitors stole a goal and came away with a fine win.
Düsseldorf needs a swift kick in the ass. The relegated Bundesligist is falling apart and got ripped in Aue. I suppose that qualifies as a kick in the ass, but obviously not the type they need.
Cottbus is truly in crisis, as they got reamed at home by FSV Frankfurt, who have been struggling. Energie props up the table, not what was expected – I keep thinking they’ll snap out and slowly move up.
