In the 2.Liga, Erzgebirge Aue held 1860 München 0-0 in front of 7500 fans in Sparkasse Erzgebirge Stadion. It was a hard fought match, but with few real scoring opportunities. 1860 disappointed and really needed a win to move into the promotion race. This is a good result for Aue though, struggling in the relegation battle.

There were several matches in the 3.Liga. Suprises included Saarbrücken sending Aalen to their second straight loss, and Oberhausen getting a huge away win at Unterhaching. A loss would have probably finished them off, but now they have a fighting chance to stay up. Werder Bremen II also stunned Heidenheim, who were hoping to solidify their promotion credentials. Werder scored twice in injury time to win the match. Epic fail, Regensburg being the primary benficiary.
