BV Cloppenburg

Representing a small town near Bremen, Cloppenburg has actually seen some of it's better results in recent years. The club was originally founded in 1919, and currently has over 800 members. Most of the early years were shrouded in obscurity.

Making it's 3rd division debut in 98-99, the Cloppenburgers put together a solid mid-table result. The next season they had the ambitious goal of trying to qualify for the new combined Regionalliga. They did well, falling just short, in 7th place. Having failed to make the cut, they're back as a solid member of the Oberliga.

When the DFB reorganized the Regionalliga into the 4th division in 2008, unfortunately Cloppenburg was stuck in the West division, as all the ex-GDR clubs went into the North.

An expansion is planned, which would bring capcity up to around 8,000, and would also add floodlights.

Tickets Very affordable. A Tribüne seat cost only 7 Euros, standing room 5 Euros. The most expensive ticket is the "VIP card", at 25 euros. Members of BVCebras can also get discounts.
