Motor Eberswalde

The club was founded in 1946 as SG Eberswalde-Nord and descendent of the defunct pre-war SV Preußen 06 Eberswalde. In 1950 it became Betriebssportgemeinschaft Stahl, before finally switching to BSG Motor two years later. Success in the GDR leagues was limited, basically being too strong for the 3rd division and generally not good enough for the 2nd division.

After reunification, the club was renamed SV Motor, but in 1995 the soccer section went independent and changed to FV Motor. They've managed to stay at the top flight of the northeast regional amateur leagues, although things seem to be getting more difficult.
