Lüneburger SK

Lüneburger SK is the "oldest soccer club in the northern Hannover region." They were founded in 1901, as Lüneburger Fussball-Klub, and joined the DFB 3 years later. The present name was acquired in 1912, as other sports were added.

For the most part, LSK bounced around in the lower regions of the amateur classes, and it wasn't until 1994 that they started making appearances in the upper echelons. (At least in the "modern" era. They did play one season in the old Oberliga Nord, 1950-51.)

The 98-99 season was a decent one, as they easily achieved their goal of staying up. The next season they again surprised by qualifying for the new combined Regionalliga. However the stay was short, and LSK was soon back down into the amateur ranks.

Also known as simply LSK-Stadion. The field was originally built in 1905, and some stands and a fence added in 1913. Floodlights were added in 1980.

Tickets Standing 5 euros, seating 8 euros (2007). A season ticket in the Tribüne goes for 100 euros.
