3.Liga, Round 24

None of the top teams could win, but we have a new leader. Karlsruhe has recovered from their horrible start to seize the leadership, despite a scoreless draw in a top table clash with Bielefeld. Arminia therby stops KSC’s 10 game win streak. Erstwhile frontrunners Osnabrück were shocked in losing at Erfurt. VfL had the best road record, and they took the lead right at the start, but were then beaten down by a fighting RWE squad. Münster missed a chance to go top, but they couldn’t be the draw kings of Wehen.

The Stuttgart derby ended with a dominant 1st half by the Kickers, who gave themselves some critical points in the relegation tussle. Halle got a huge road win at unterhaching, pretty much dropping the mini-Münchenkins out of the promotion race. Heidenheim’s win however at struggling Babelsberg means that they are back in the hunt.
