Bayern München blasted Swiss side FC Basel 7-0 in the return match of the Champions League. After losing the first leg 0-1 in Basel (with a rather lackadaisical performance), there were some doubts about Bayern’s ability to advance, but no problems here.

66,000 packed the Allianz-Arena (less capacity for Euro matches) and Bayern quickly dominated, Robben scoring after only 10 minutes. They continued to control the match against the harmless Swiss, and then a double just before half from T. Müller and Mario Gomez basically put the match away.

After the restart, Bayern really got rolling, and Gomez quickly added to his tally, ending with four goals, and Robben finished with another as well. Franck Ribery ended up with another 3 assists.
